Trivia events happening in & around Winchester, Virginia
Due to a lot of things getting in the way, we will be cancelling 3rd Friday Trivia for September. We plan to be back on October 16 for our Oktoberfest event and would love for you to join us and maybe even bring your favorite Oktoberfest-inspired dish or dessert to share.
When we first started 3rd Friday Trivia, there was a group of 3 or 4 people making it all happen. As we continued putting it together, we widened that circle of folks, but there is still a lot of pressure on a small group of people to organize the event each month.
As we move forward, we need to find a way to lighten that load, so we are looking for your thoughts on various options to do so. If you are someone that attends 3rd Friday Trivia, or you’re interested in attending, please take a moment to fill out our brief survey on the future of the event.
Here at Winchester Trivia, we’re looking for folks that might be interested in hosting trivia. We occasionally get requests to set up new trivia nights at various locations, and we’d love to be able to do so, but we need more folks that are willing to host. If you are interested in hosting your own trivia nights, or even if you’re just interested in filling in for any of us occasionally, please let us know.
Starting on June 3, we’ll be doing Music Bingo at The Pub every other Wednesday throughout the summer. Our scheduled dates for Music Bingo are as follows:
Other Wednesdays throughout the summer, we’ll do our regular trivia nights. On June 24, we’ll even have a special themed “Past 20 Years in Pop Culture” trivia exploring important pop culture milestones over the past 2 decades.
We have some important scheduling updates to share with you.
One of The Pub team members, Brittany McKinney was given a Melanoma Cancer diagnosis. She goes in Thursday for removal surgery.
We are all confident she will pull through this. But even with best case scenario she is still off work for multiple weeks to recover and will be buried in a mountain of medical bills.
Brittany has spent the last 2 years behind the bar at The Pub taking care of everyone else; making people laugh, listening when someone needed it, working long hours, and helping make The Pub feel like home for so many people.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
While the emotional toll is already heavy enough, the financial burden from medical bills and time away from work is something no family should have to carry alone.

We’ve rescheduled the 90s Alternative trivia that was supposed to happen at The Pub in April. Instead, it will be happening on May 13. Join us to relive the days when music was at its best, and fashion wasn’t quite so embarrassing as it has been in other decades.
For the month of May, we will not be hosting 3rd Friday Trivia. We will be back in June, though.
If you’re looking for something fun to do in May, though, and want to get away from the hustle & bustle of the Apple Blossom Festival, we’ll be hosting a special Kentucky Derby Party at Bethel on May 2.
They asked and we gave in, it’s officially a weekly round of general trivia at Union Jack starting at 6:30pm this Wednesday, March 25th, Come play our first round of Spring this week.
We have lots of great themed trivia events coming in the next month or so in the area. On the last Monday of this month (Feb 23), Nate will have something good happening at Winchester Brew Works. Then, on the last Wednesday of the month (Feb 25), he’ll be hosting his “I Love the 90s” trivia at Dividing Creek. That Friday night (Feb. 27), Vibrissa will be hosting a special “HR & Hockey” night, involving themed cocktails, mini-trivia, door prizes and more. Then, 2 weeks later (March 11), we’ll be hosting “80s Hair Bands (and Hard Rock)” trivia at The Pub, and Nate will be hosting “Supernatural” trivia at DCBC.
