Update: Heavy Metal Trivia with Eric at Winchester Brew Works has been postponed until next Monday, February 2.
We hope you are all safe and warm after the winter storm. While it wasn’t quite as massive as the forecasts seemed to indicate, we still got a decent amount of coverage, and it’s not going to be going away on its own any time soon.
We’ll be keeping an eye on road conditions and business status and will try to announce if any trivia events are cancelled, but it’s also a good idea to keep an eye on the official Facebook pages for those businesses, and to watch the Blue Ridge Trivia group on Facebook.
Coming in March, we will be doing our “Chili Cookoff” at 3rd Friday Trivia again.
If you’ve got what you think is an award-winning chili recipe, and you want to share it, enter our chili cookoff to see how it stacks up against everyone else’s chili.
It will cost $5 for each entry (up to 2 entries per person) to submit your chili for judging. The top 3 winners of the chili cookoff will get cash prizes.
Tonight is the final trivia of 2025 in the area. We will be at Vibrissa Beer tonight with trivia beginning at 6:30. We hope to see you there.
All of us at Winchester Trivia want to thank everyone who has participated in our trivia events this past year. We hope to see a lot more of you in the coming year.
Tomorrow night, for New Year’s Eve, we hope everyone has a very happy, fun, and safe time. Curtiss will be at The Pub, DJ’ing their New Year’s Eve party if you’re looking for something to do.
Due to catastrophic flooding in the building the week before Christmas, the Union Jack Pub is temporarily closed. As a result, there will be no trivia happening there until the restaurant is able to open back up again.
Because their staff, who depends on wages and tips, have been unable to work throughout this holiday season, Union Jack has created an ongoing fundraiser to help get some money to those staff members.
We’ll let you know when they’re back up and running.
As of today, there are only 4 trivia events left in the Winchester area this year! We have 3rd Friday Trivia tonight. Then we have Vibrissa trivia on Tuesday, 2025 in Review at Winchester Brew Works on Monday the 29th, and Vibrissa trivia again on Tuesday the 30th. Get your trivia on while you can!
And with it, it brings holidays and end-of-year trivia.
There will be no trivia on Dec. 24 or Dec. 31 at any of our locations.
On December 17, there will be a special “Winter Holidays” trivia at The Pub. Then, on December 29, there will be a “2025 In Review” trivia at Winchester Brew Works. In early January, more “year in review” trivias will be coming to The Pub and to 50/50 Taphouse.
Coming up the week of Thanksgiving, there will be plenty of music trivia happening. Starting on Monday, November 24, Nate will be hosting “Side A” (part 1 of 2) of his “Music by the Decades” trivia at WBW. Then, on Wednesday, November 26, Curtiss will be hosting “Music by the Decades” trivia and karaoke at The Pub, starting at 6:30, and Nate will be hosting “Side B” of his trivia at DCBC. Be sure not to miss these special events, especially if you’re a fan of music.
First, we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us over the past year. We are all extremely grateful for our trivia family here in this area. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you.
Secondly, I want to make sure everyone is aware of our 3rd Friday Trivia Thanksgiving feast on November 21. We will be serving a full Thanksgiving meal before trivia that night, with turkey and all the trimmings. It’s only $10/person if you want to eat, and trivia is free. Join us!
This year, Halloween falls on a Friday, so we are planning to make the most of the whole week.
Then, we’ll cap off the week with a Costume Dance Party at Vibrissa on Halloween night. We hope to see you there at all of these events.
